"The Book of Negroes" by Lawrence Hill

A must read. Follows the story of Aminata, who is taken as a child by slave traders in the 1700's. A powerful story...fiction, but based on historical facts. Lawrence Hill is a Canadian author - excellent writer. An easy read, but so worth it.
