"Heart of the Matter" by Emily Giffin

I really enjoyed this book by Emily Giffin, also the author of "Baby Proof" and others posted on our blog. This novel covers the stories of Tessa, her husband Nick and their 2 children, as well as Valerie and her son Charlie. Nick is a pediatric plastic surgeon, and treats Valerie's son when he is burned at a birthday party (campfire gone awry). Soon, Nick and Valerie become friends and begin spending more and more time together, and end up having an affair. This novel is told through both woman's point of view: Nick's wife, and Nick's mistress, which made this a very good read.
