"When to Walk" by Rebecca Gowers

This quirky little novel reads more like the journal of a woman whose husband has just left her. Set in London over the span of a week, she considers the life of her crazy grandmother, equally insufferable mother, the neighbors in the flat below (might they be fraudsters?), her dull, mindless job that actually requires a lot of thinking and creativity, and of course, her own marriage and the way it fell apart (or did it?).

There is another review here, from the Guardian in the UK, if you are interested.
