"Lottery" by Patricia Wood

It made me laugh, it made me cry. Makes me wonder what those characters are doing now.

Perry is a man with an IQ of 76 - not 75, which is retarded. He is not retarded. This is his story about what happened after he won $12 million in a state lottery.

Written from Perry's perspective. Easy to read. Great story.

So this belongs in the non-fiction genre then? Sounds interesting. I shall get my personal librarian right on it......

No, it is fiction. Similar to "Curious Incident..." in style.

i loved this book. as erica said, it's very easy to read. but also has a lot of emotions...i wanted to cry a few times while reading this book...had the "closed throat" feeling. an excellent read.
