"Little Bee" by Chris Cleave

This story is about an Nigerian refugee in England, and also about an English women she met on a Nigerian beach two years earlier. Their lives are intertwined, and when they meet again (in England) both of their lives change once more. This story is quite serious, but does have a few lighter moments.
