"The Old Brown Suitcase" by Lillian Boraks-Nemetz

This is a small novel about 14-year old Slava, who immigrates to Canada with her family after World War Two. It flips back and forth between her life in Poland during the war, and to finding her way in Canada as a teenager. A good little read.
