"The Kindness of Strangers" by Katrina Kittle

Sarah and her sons Nate and Danny live in a small town, and are close friends with Courtney, her husband Mark and their son Jordan. Jordan tries to commit suicide but fails, but unleashes a full scale investigation into his family. Turns out his parents are child molesters and have been molesting Jordan his entire life. Jordan comes to live with Sarah and her sons. Etc etc. Very interesting read, but definitely a shocking/disturbing subject.
