"Half Broke Horses" by Jeannette Walls

Author of "The Glass Castle" - a memoir of the author's life. I wasn't sure what this novel was going to be about - it's under Fiction at the library, but turns out it is based on the true life story of Walls' grandmother, Lily. Tells of growing up on a cattle ranch in Texas and the hardships that go hand in hand with that life. A very interesting read, well written.
